    Description

Up for your consideration are these Rare and Unique Antique Gilt Bronze 2-Branch Boudoir Lamps with Porcelain Flowers and Dresden Lace Figures. From researching they seem to be Volkstedt but I couldn't find any marks without taking the lamps apart and I didn't want to risk damage due to their age.
    Absolutely
Gorgeous & Rare Antique Dresden Lace Figurines 13.5" tall and 17 inches wide 2-branch gilt bronze ormolu boudoir lamps, hand painted porcelain flowers accent and as near pristine as can be! Perfect for a desk, writing or bedside table - well, for just anywhere a little elegant romance and delicate beauty is needed. The lamps have the old cloth wiring which I'd suggest be replaced before use though I did plug them in and they work but the cloth is wearing in some spots of the cords. The toggle switches are made by Carling and are patented Aug 16, 1927. I do believe these lamps are older than that but I could not find any way to verify their age. I will leave that decision to the buyer on replacing the cords however, as some want to keep them all original. They come with what I'm assuming are the original lamp shades that are lace and satin. The lace is disintegrating due to age, but they are shaped very uniquely and under the lace is a string of different colored satin flowers and the inside of the lampshades are satin and there are a few stains. The figurines are slightly different, one has a purple corset with purple shoes and a light blue hat with a red ribbon on it, she has one spot on her skirt that has what looks like glue or something possibly a flower came off her skirt, I didn't want to pick at it for fear of damaging it. There is some green patina coming through on the base and under some of the flowers of this one. The yellow corset figurine has red shoes and a light green hat with a red ribbon on it and she is wearing a necklace. Her skirt has the most damage with some broken spots but from a ways a way you can't really tell. They are truly fabulous pieces!
Very good to excellent condition. As noted, it has the original wiring and, though working, we'd definitely recommend replacing for use. There is some damage to the central porcelain figure wearing the yellow corset her skirt done in Dresden Lace has some broken spots but due to their age they are in really good shape. The porcelain flowers are all in great shape, they are yellow and pink. The piece even has the old original wooden faux candle covers on each side, complete with faux dripping wax. No marks on the gilt bronze base but they are starting to turn green on the base and some of the leaves of the purple corset one. The bases are bronze and the figurines are set on marble.
