    This adapter is new,
    made of stainless steel (
    AISI 304
    ).
    Please note: there are some cheap adaptors on eBay (in black color or silver anodized) which are made of aluminum alloy (dural).
    I would not recommend to buy dural adaptors because dural has no required menhanical qualities for use in PL adaptor.
    None of professional cine lens manufacturers produce dural PL mounts or adaptors.
    This adapter allows to focus to infinity.
    This adaptor allows to use some M42 screw mount lenses with outer diameter near screw mount up to 52.60mm and depth of this part from 8.60mm on cameras with PL mount.
    I have provided dimensions of the adapter from the side of M42 mount and it is buyer's responsibility to check and verify if exact M42 lens will fit this adapter.
    Not having all variety of M42 lenses at my hand I simply can not measure dimensions which should be checked on the actual lens to ensure compatibility with this M42 adaptor.
